Hanley Center Names D. John Dyben Clinical Director

D. John Dyben has been named Clinical Director of Hanley Center, a noted nonprofit addiction treatment facility in West Palm Beach, Florida. Dyben will be responsible for supervising all residential and outpatient treatment as well as Spiritual Care and Wellness programs. He joined Hanley Center in 2004, serving as Chaplain and Spiritual Care Professional and most recently, Program Manager, The Center of Men's Recovery.
Dyben brings a rich therapeutic and spiritual focus to the position of Clinical Director, as an innovative program manager, mental health and addiction counselor and teacher. He has been an adjunct faculty member in the Health Occupations Department of Palm Beach Community College and has been an ordained pastor since 1997. Dyben is an accomplished presenter on topics that range from anxiety and mood disorders with late life onset to spirituality in recovery.
Prior to joining Hanley Center, Dyben held positions in community based mental health, addiction therapy and wellness, including most recently, Director of Point of Entry for the Drug Abuse Foundation of Palm Beach County. From 1999 to 2003, he held several positions with Girls and Boys Town in South and Central Florida, where he provided mental health services, foster care consultation and crisis intervention for children and families, and directed emergency shelter services for youth. He spent his first professional years as a pastor in a traditional church setting, with a focus on teaching and pastoral counseling.
