Estrogen-Lowering Treatment Doesn't Have to Lower Quality of Life for Cancer Patients

April is National Cancer Control Month. Now, female cancer patients have a new way to control one of the most troubling side effects of their treatment. Drug and/or surgical therapy for breast, ovarian, and other female cancers can deplete estrogen. Less estrogen can lead to severe vaginal dryness. More than a nuisance, this side effect can diminish a patient's mental attitude, so critical to fighting and beating cancer.
