Aarp Launches Divided We Fail With Forum Here

Officials from the Pennsylvania office of the American Association of Retired Persons will discuss health care coverage and long-term financial security with local government and business leaders at a forum on Thursday, June 26, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry, 100 S. Queen St.

The forum is part of three days of local events for AARP’s Divided We Fail Initiative, which calls for action on health care and financial security. Other events include:

,Wednesday, June 25: DWF Rally and AARP 50th Anniversary Picnic, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Landis Valley Museum, 2451 Kissel Hill Road. Includes picnic lunch, cake and music by Lancaster AARP Chorus.

,Thursday, June 26: DWF Sports: Lancaster Barnstormers vs. Camden Riversharks, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Clipper Magazine Stadium, 650 N. Prince St. Game starts at 11:05 a.m. Game ticket discount available for AARP members.

,Friday June 27: Long-Term Care Town Hall Meeting, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, June 27, at Farm & Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road. DWF Celebrates Lancaster: noon to 10 p.m., at Binns Park, 100 N. Queen St. Includes prizes.
