Over 50s Given Class to Improve Wellbeing

A Health and Wellbeing Hub for the over 50s has been launched in Stroud.

The first of its kind in Gloucestershire, its first weekly meeting is to be held on Wednesday at the All Saints' Centre in Springfield Road.

People are invited to try a range of gentle exercise and creative activities from 10.30am until 12.30pm once a week for 10 weeks.

The first session will include a chance to watch Stroud College students demonstrating head massage and other complimentary therapies.

Co-organiser Pamela Tawse from Uplands Good Companions group, who is also a founder member of the Gloucestershire Older Persons' Assembly, said: "The aim of the new hub is to give people of retirement age somewhere to meet, try out exercise and relaxation techniques and also do something creative."
