8th International Conference on Pain and Chemical Dependency, Call for Posters

MORRISVILLE, Pa., June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The 8th International Conference on Pain and Chemical Dependency (ICPCD) has issued a call for posters to be presented at its October 29th meeting, to be held at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. ICPCD is the annual meeting of the International Association for Pain and Chemical Dependency (IAPCD).

IAPCD is the only international organization dedicated to promoting appropriate and effective treatment for all patients with pain, including individuals with substance abuse, mental health or other co-occurring problems that may make treatment more challenging. The association encourages cooperation among professionals in the fields of health care, policy and regulation, law enforcement, law, politics and media to improve communication and education for the appropriate use of the controlled substances in pain treatment. Approximately 600 participants are expected to attend in 2008.

The conference is international and multidisciplinary, providing updates on recent advances and robust discussion regarding therapeutic challenges. Content this year will address:
