Magellan Health Services Establishes National Professional Advisory Council

Magellan Health Services, Inc., the nation's leading behavioral health disease management organization, announced today that it has established a National Professional Advisory Council to provide input to the company on clinical and network management issues and assistance in improving consumers' mental health through positive relations with clinical professional associations and communities. The company named to the council eight individuals representing the fields of psychiatric nursing, social work, psychology, psychiatry, primary care and structured treatment programs.

Magellan named the following individuals to the council:

-- Richard A. Botelho, B.M.B.S., Director of Fellowship Training and Professor of Family Medicine and Nursing, University of Rochester Medical Center.
-- Carole Farley-Toombs, M.A., Clinical Nursing Chief and Associate Director for Clinical Operations, Strong Behavioral Health, University of Rochester Medical Center.
-- Paul Jay Fink, M.D., Professor of Psychiatry, Temple University School of Medicine.
-- Gary G. Gintner, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Coordinator, Counselor Education Program, Louisiana State University.
-- Enola K. Proctor, Ph.D., Dean for Research, George Warren Brown School of Social Work, Washington University.
-- E. Warren Throckmorton, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology, Grove City College.
-- Tom Trabin, Ph.D., Executive Director, Software and Technology Vendors Association.
