Push Way to Fitness

June 27, 2008

BUGGY workouts are being offered to parents and babies.

The Nunsmoor Centre, Arthur’s Hill, Newcastle, which is part of Sure Start West Riverside Children’s Centres, is holding a six-week Walk and Talk course – only the third of its kind in the country.

The course enables parents to exercise with their buggies for an hour, while getting advice from qualified fitness instructor Debbie Donaldson.

Benefits of buggy workouts include tightening and toning muscles, burning fat and making new friends, as well as improving health and wellbeing.

Debbie said: “Walk and Talk is a great way to get active. The class provides a social and support network as well as improving core stability for healthier backs and abdomens.”

The course starts on Monday, July 21, at 9.45am. For more information ring the Nunsmoor Centre on (0191) 226 1006.
