OutFIT Fitness(TM) Program Expands Unique Fitness Experience to San Diego

Posted on: Thursday, 21 April 2005, 09:00 CDT

SAN DIEGO, April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Early every morning just as the sun peaks up over San Diego County your doctor, children's grade school teacher, best friend, even you may be doing it. Getting up early to get fit- outside, boot-camp style.

Thousands of other people have been rising and shining with OutFIT Fitness(TM) boot camps for more than 6 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. Now, thanks to high community demand for an easy way to make fitness a regular part of daily routine, OutFIT Fitness is expanding to the San Diego area. What makes OutFIT Fitness different from any other exercise program is its unique combination of group fitness training held exclusively in outdoor locations.

"We have been so successful in the Bay Area, "Jennifer Jolly, Television Host and Founder of OutFIT Fitness, explains, "that we felt it was time to move into another one of our favorite inspiring communities. With the gorgeous surrounding and beautiful weather, San Diego seems to be a perfect fit for our program."

OutFIT Fitness provides a variety of exercise programs to fit any person's fitness profile from the occasional athlete to the hardcore enthusiast. With three programs to choose from: Boot Camp, FITMom and Friends, and Extreme Week, San Diego residents will be able to enjoy exercise the way that it was meant to be -- outdoors surrounded by a supportive group of people just like you.

OutFIT Fitness' mainstay program, Boot Camp, is a 5-week program that participants can choose to attend either 3 or 5 days a week. With a scientific balance of cardiovascular exercise, strength training and flexibility, OutFIT Fitness Boot Camp has been able to change the lives of many of its members. As one San Francisco police officer put it, "When I started OutFIT, I smoked two packs of cigarettes a day, was 20 pounds overweight and couldn't jog a lap. Now I can run 10 miles, do 25 pull-ups and haven't smoked for over a year. This program saved my life ... and maybe some other people's too!"

Set in different locations around Balboa Park and Encinitas, CA, attendees of Boot Camp will be able to thrive in dynamic group exercise under the supervision of certified personal trainers. One of the aspects of Boot Camp and all of the OutFIT Fitness programs that has made the program so successful is not just the exercise regimen, but rather building support groups inside and outside of the program. "Gyms usually count on you paying your annual fee and NOT showing up. Here, our instructors and other people in the classes hold you accountable, even give you some grief if you sleep-in, instead of coming to class. We set our clients up for success," says Jolly.

Extreme Week is a 5 day long exercise program designed to help OutFIT Fitness members overcome any plateaus in their workout routine. There are only 2 Extreme Week sessions planned in 2005 for San Diego. Those weeks will occur on:

* August 15th

* October 31st

FITMom and Friends is a very successful and unique outdoor fitness program for Moms and their little ones. FITMom emphasizes safe, effective exercise that helps Mom get her body back and Baby feel more calm, relaxed and connected to Mom. OutFIT Fitness plans to start FITMom and Friends in 2006.
