Disaster Recovery Center Now Open

July 2, 2008

LANCASTER, Wis. – Grant County’s Disaster Recovery Center now is open for business.

“Everybody should register with FEMA first if you had flood damage,” said Steve Braun director of Emergency Government in Grant County. “You will get an applicant number and you should bring that number with you, just to make it easier. They can actually look your case up in the computer, and ask any particular questions about your case. If you got a packet in the mail, there is a SBA loan packet with it that is really important to get filled out.”

The disaster center is located at the Youth and Ag Building in Lancaster. Starting today, it will be open from

10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily for the next three weeks. Pre-register before you go by calling 800-621-3362, or visit www.fema.gov.
