July 2, 2008
RESEARCHERS at Warwick Medical School have found that reducing the hours of junior doctors does not compromise patients’ safety
Their study found it could even dramatically cut mistakes on wards.
The research, carried out at Coventry’s University Hospital in 2007, was being presented today at an NHS conference in London by Francesco P Cappuccio, professor of cardiovascular medicine at Warwick Medical School.
