The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the nationwide recall of Rize 2 The Occasion and Rose 4 Her sexual supplements due to a health hazard.
The FDA said Jack Distribution LLC of Pompano Beach, Fla., initiated the voluntary recall after discovering some lots of the products might contain a potentially harmful, undeclared ingredient.
Being recall are Rize 2 The Occasion lot numbers CG-84, GD-98, CC-06 and CG-79. Also being recalled is Rose 4 Her lot number CG-78.
The FDA said both products contain thiomethisosildenafil, an analog of sildenafil, the active ingredient of a FDA-approved drug used for erectile dysfunction. The federal agency said the ingredient is close in structure to sildenafil and might interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, lowering blood pressure to dangerous levels.
The company said any unused portions of the recalled lot numbers may be returned to the place of purchase for a refund. The products are sold in adult stores, vitamin & nutrition shops and convenience stores, as well as on the Internet.
