5K Run/1-Mile Walk at Valley Park Aug. 16

The Third Annual "Run For the Health of It" 5K Run and "Walk For the Health of It" 1-Mile Non-Competitive Walk will be held Aug. 16 at 8 a.m. at Valley Park (Wave Pool) in Hurricane.
The entry fee is $15 by July 7 or $20 on Race Day.
Registration is from 7 to 7:45 a.m. Aug. 16.
Separate run and walk T-shirts will be given to the first 100 registered.

Awards: 5K only: Overall top male and female, second and third place overall male and female, two deep in male and female age divisions.
Proceeds from the race go to the Hurricane High School boys cross country team and "The Putnam Youth Wellness Task Team" to promote safe and drug-free activities for Putnam County youth.
Age groups, male and female, are: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30- 39, 40-49, 50-59, 60, & Over.
