CMA Holds Its 141st Annual Meeting in Montreal, QC

The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) will hold its 141st annual meeting (General Council) in Montreal at the Centre Sheraton, from August 17-20, 2008.

This year’s General Council theme, Canada’s Doctors – Patient focused. Patient centred, provides a forum for CMA delegates to discuss issues of concern to the profession, the public and the health care system in Canada.

Key features of the meeting will be:

– a strategic session on mental health;

– a strategic session on health transformation and patient-focused care;

– sessions on emerging issues, delegates’ motions; and

– address by Federal Minister of Health Tony Clement.
