Fury at Topless Car
July 12, 2008
A WOMAN stopped to help at a road accident – and had the roof cut off her car by firefighters.
She let a 16-year-old girl sit in her Subaru after her boyfriend’s car crashed.
But emergency crews in Belchamp Otten, Essex, thought she may have spinal injuries and chopped off the roof to remove her safely – leaving it a write-off. The unnamed woman driver said: “I’m going to take this further.”
East of England Ambulance Service said: “Where a possible spinal injury is involved, you can’t be too careful.”
