CANTERBURY SHAKER VILLAGE will celebrate Lavender Day today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors can tour the village’s botanical gardens, make lavender sachets and tea, and unwind in the relaxation clinic. Admission is $15, $7 for children ages 6 to 17. For more information, call 783-9077, ext. 282.

DAY CAMPS: The last little girl taken in by the Canterbury Shakers will celebrate her 90th birthday this year and will share her happy childhood memories with children attending Canterbury Shaker Village’s “History Comes Alive” summer day camp Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, the following summer camps will be available: “Our Amazing Forests, Fields and Ponds, July 21 through July 25; “Archaeology Adventure,” July 28 through Aug. 1; and “Forts and Fairy Houses,” Aug. 4 through Aug. 8.
