Aldagen, Inc. Appoints William E. Evans, PharmD to Board of Directors
Aldagen, Inc. today announced the appointment of William E. Evans, PharmD to its Board of Directors. Dr. Evans has been with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since 1973, and began serving as director and chief executive officer in 2004. Dr. Evans’ research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has focused on pediatric diseases and disorders, and he has authored more than 300 articles and book chapters. Dr. Evans has received several national awards for his research, including three consecutive National Institutes of Health MERIT Awards from the National Cancer Institute.

Dr. Evans is a licensed pharmacist and holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the College of Pharmacy, University of Tennessee. He is a member of the Graduate Faculty and Professor of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutics in the College of Pharmacy, as well as a Professor of Pediatrics in the College of Medicine, at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Dr. Evans is also a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences.
