Alternative and Complementary Medicine Day at the 13th Annual Congress on Women's Health, June 4-7, 2005 on Hilton Head Island, SC

The Congress will once again present a morning of key plenary presentations on evidenced-based alternative and complementary medicine at the 13th Annual Congress on Women's Health at the Hilton Head Marriott Beach & Golf Resort. These talks will provide doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals with the clinical studies and drug-herb interaction information that they need to answer their patients' questions and advise them on safety and efficacy.
Topics will include Botanical Protocols for Menopausal Symptom Relief--What Works, What Doesn't; Vitamins and Supplements--Which Ones, How Much, and For Whom?; Mind-Body Medicine for Chronic Pain Relief; Yoga and Biofeedback for Chronic Disease; and Functional Foods.
This year's Congress focuses on state-of-the-art cardiovascular health including diagnosis, intervention, and management. Other timely sessions will include chronic stress in women, talking with patients about obesity, arthritis management; and much more.
The Congress is being Chaired by Susan Kornstein, M.D., Executive Director of the Virginia Commonwealth University Institute for Women's Health, a DHHS National Center of Excellence, Richmond, Virginia and Co-Chaired by Gail Stuart, Ph.D., APRN, BC, FAAN, Dean, College of Nursing, Medical College of South Carolina, Charleston.
