Medical Board Suspends Doctor
July 23, 2008
State officials say they suspended the North Dakota license of a Fargo doctor for sloppy handling of narcotics.
The state Board of Medical Examiners says Dr. Rodney Lee let assistants fill out drug prescription forms for patients.
Medical regulators also say Lee accepted unused drugs from his patients and kept them in an unlocked drawer.
Lee runs Rapidcare Clinics in Fargo and Grand Forks, and in Moorhead and Detroit Lakes in Minnesota.
He told investigators his medical practice is overextended. The board has scheduled a hearing on his suspension for Aug. 13.
