Posted on: Friday, 25 July 2008, 12:01 CDT

Misys Healthcare Systems, a provider of healthcare IT solutions, has partnered with Blue Ridge, a provider of medical management services, to expand its health network and offer improved care processes across Tennessee and Virginia.

Blue Ridge purchased more than 125 licenses for Misys Vision as well as conversion services to bring the hospitals' physicians onto one common practice management platform in a timely manner.

Additionally, Blue Ridge will offer Misys Vision and Misys EMR as hosted solutions for East Tennessee State University's James Quillen College of Medicine. The company purchased 250 Misys Vision licenses and 325 Misys EMR licenses, which will enable Blue Ridge physicians to join a connected community of caregivers, quickly sharing data for enhanced patient care across the community.

Davenport, executive vice president and general manager of Misys Healthcare Systems, said: "Blue Ridge has taken a significant step in building a connected healthcare community. Misys solutions will enable their members to quickly access patient records, share data, and reduce time devoted to administrative tasks allowing them to instead focus on providing premium care to their patients."
