SunTech Medical has announced the first installation of its Oscar 2 ambulatory blood pressure monitor in the Intermountain Healthcare system. These monitors were placed at the flagship Intermountain Medical Center facility in Murray, Utah in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley.
The SunTech Oscar 2 is said to be the only ambulatory blood pressure monitor (ABPM) with both BHS and International Protocol validations and delivers the robust level of clinical reporting that the staff at the Intermountain Medical Center requires.
The monitors will be used at the JL Sorenson Heart and Lung Center on patients where there is a critical need to assess blood pressure for 24 hours.
The Oscar 2 ambulatory blood pressure monitor will allow the patients to go about their normal daily routine while being monitored. Once the patient returns to the facility, the data is quickly downloaded and the report made available to their physician.
Rod Thomson, sales manager of the Americas at SunTech, said: "SunTech is excited that the Oscar 2 was chosen by Intermountain Health to supply their ambulatory blood pressure solution. We believe that many Intermountain Healthcare facilities will soon come to appreciate the quality of the Oscar 2 and the reports generated by this monitor."
