We Will Fight to Save Our Brewery
July 29, 2008
THE future of Liverpool brewery Cains and its 1,000 staff could be decided within the next two days.
Chief executive Sudarghara Dusanj expects to hear whether Royal Bank of Scotland will agree to new terms vital for the business to continue, including approval to settle a tax bill that led to a winding-up petition by HM Revenue and Customs due to be heard in the High Court on August 12.
Cains had revealed losses of pounds 4.6m in the previous six months and shares closed last night at a record low of 2.75p
