NEW YORK, July 31 /PRNewswire/ — RealSavvyMoms.com and Infant’s Mylicon will host a webcast on “common infant feeding problems” featuring noted pediatric gastroenterologist and book author Dr. Bryan Vartabedian. He’ll share his expert advice and answer viewer questions — live August 4, 2008!

Being a mom means that you’re always searching for information on the best ways to care for your child and keep her healthy and safe. When faced with a concern about our child’s health and well being, it would be nice to think that we could just pick up the phone and call our pediatrician — or get more than 1O minutes out of a doctor’s office visit. But in this age of HMOs and time-crunched docs, parents now look to alternative sources for reliable information.

To fill this need, RealSavvyMoms.com is launching a series of free educational WebCasts presented by International Journalist Emma Brown, host of the award-winning parenting series, “Real Moms, Real Stories, Real Savvy” airing on PBS stations nationwide. Pregnancy and pediatric health topics will be presented in an intimate format that will put moms at ease. At the same time moms will have access to ask their personal questions to some of the country’s top doctors and wellness experts.

First up: “Common Infant Feeding Problems” featuring Dr. Bryan Vartabedian, author of Colic Solved: The Essential Guide to Infant Reflux and the Care of Your Crying, Difficult-to-Soothe Baby. Dr. Vartabedian is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), an assistant professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and attending physician at Texas Children’s Hospital. If you’re a new mom, don’t miss the opportunity to have Dr. Vartabedian answer questions about your newborn’s fussiness, infant gas and crying — and help you all get some well deserved sleep!

Times: (EDT) August 4, 2008 at 2 p.m., and repeating at 8:30 p.m.
