Old is New Again at Beach Antiques Show

More than 100 dealers are displaying their antiques today and Sunday at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th St., Virginia Beach.

The Virginia Beach Antiques Show features American, Asian and European items from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

None are flea-market items, new collections or reproductions, organizers said in a prepared statement.

Adults pay $7 for admission. Children age 12 or younger are free. A $1 discount coupon is available at www.emgshows.com .

N.C. CONTRACTOR TO COACH HOMEOWNERS

CLASSES SET FOR FIRST-TIME BUYERS

Nonprofit agencies, the military and a real estate trade group are offering free classes in August to help renters become home buyers.

Those who complete the classes may be eligible to qualify for a below-market rate home loan from the authority.
