Public Health Grand Rounds Announced

Aug. 4–The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center College of Public Health recently announced the schedule of Public Health Grand Rounds, which are free and open to the public.

–Aug. 26, Robert S. Mannel, Rainbolt Family Chair in Cancer, Professor and Chairman, Department of OB/GYN, College of Medicine, OU HSC, and Director, OU Cancer Institute, will present “The Future for Cancer Care and Prevention in Oklahoma.”

Light lunch will be served 11:30 a.m., and the formal presentation will be noon to 1 p.m. at the OU HSC College of Health building, 801 NE 13th St.

–Sept. 9, Drew Edmondson, Attorney General for the State of Oklahoma, will present “The Public Health Implications of Corporate Poultry Production.”

Light lunch will be served 11:30 a.m., with the formal presentation at noon to 1 p.m. in the OU HSC College of Health building, 801 NE 13th Street.

–Sept. 18, Gerard P. Clancy, president of OU-Tulsa, will present “The School of Community Medicine: Vision and Importance of a Public Health Partnership” at the Schusterman Academic Center, 4502 E. 41st Street in Tulsa, with live videostreaming to OU HSC College of Health building, 801 NE 13th St., Room 150. Light lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., and the formal presentation will be noon to 1 p.m.
