Amcom Software today announced that 15 out of 19 “Honor Roll” hospitals, as ranked by U.S. News and World Report, use the company’s software solutions to automate and streamline communications, provide online on-call scheduling or enhance patient, visitor and staff safety. The recently released rankings appear in U.S. News & World Report’s highly regarded “Best Hospitals Report” for 2008.

The publication analyzed data on 5,453 medical centers to produce this year’s 16 specialty rankings. Only 170 hospitals were ranked in one or more specialties and of those, just 19 were of Honor Roll caliber. To be in this elite group, which rewards breadth of excellence, a hospital had to achieve high scores in six or more specialties.
