Matrons to Hold Surgery
MATRONS at a Mersey-side hospital are to hold weekly surgeries to hear comments and complaints from staff and patients.
University Hospital Aintree is starting the project after a suggestion from a member of the public.
Zena Sephton, matron of head and neck surgery and orthopaedics said: “It will be a two-way process and we hope staff and patients will want to voice their comments.
“The suggestion came originally from a patient’s family and the Matrons’ Group developed the idea at a meeting we had to focus on the best ways of enhancing the patient experience.
“We will be sharing the feedback and using the comments to adjust services Trust-wide.”
Photos of matrons and their surgery times will be displayed on every ward.
