Class of 1961: Somerset High School Class of 1961 will hold its annual summer cookout at classmate Russell Raposa’s home, 112 Hiatt St., in Fall River, Sunday, rain or shine at noon.
Raposa traditionally supplies the hot dogs and the hamburger and guests bring various dishes to complete the menu. Those interested in attending are asked to contact Raposa at 679-0773.
Lloyd Center program: The Lloyd Center is offering its Young Naturalist program participants, children ages 5 through 7, “Things With Wings” Monday and Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Lloyd Center Headquarters, 430 Potomska Rd., in Dartmouth.

Auto show: Bristol County Street Rod Association will sponsor its 14th annual classic auto show fundraiser to benefit SHARE Foundation Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at UMass Dartmouth on its observatory grounds, 285 Old Westport Rd., in North Dartmouth. SHARE Foundation helps people with disabilities communicate. Aug. 24 has been set aside as a rain date.
The event will include food and a flea market. Johnny Angel will provide entertainment. The entrance fee is $2.
Entrants’ registration fee is $10 and same day registration begins at 8 a.m. continuing through noon. The first 200 cars will receive dash plaques and awards will be given for Best in Show, Professor’s Choice, and Club Participation. Fall River
Art exhibit: The University of Massachusetts School of Professional and Continuing Education will host Luso American Vistas de Verao, at Cherry and Webb Gallery, 139 Main St., today from 5 to 8 p.m., through Sept. 13.
The exhibit features the work of Victor Nobrega, Martine Sousa, Steve Sousa, Holly Ferreira, Leanne Marie Diogo and Ernest “Butch” Beauparland. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information visit www.candwgallery.org.
House tours: The Lafayette-Durfee House, 94 Cherry St., will be open Sunday for house tours from 1 to 4 p.m.
There will be several displays in the house depicting life in Colonial times as well as exhibits of 18th-century fashions, weapons and medical instruments among others. Admission is free however a $3 donation per adult is suggested. Stamp club meets: The Fall River Stamp Club will meet Tuesday in the Super Stop & Shop conference room, Marianno Bishop Boulevard, at 7 p.m.
Rehoboth
Community dance: A free community dance will be held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. in Goff Memorial Hall, 124 Bay State Rd. The dance is hosted by the Sunday Night Jammers, a group of area musicians who play Celtic dance music.
The dance will feature contra dance steps and a variety of international and couple dances, such as polkas and waltzes. All dance steps will be taught.

Seekonk
Computer classes at the library: The Seekonk Public Library, 410 Newman Ave., is offering its monthly computer classes to SAILS library cardholders.The library’s Introduction to Computers classes will help those new to using a computer learn the basics. The library also offers classes in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
Classes offered in August include: Aug. 13, Excel II: Formulas & Functions, from 1:30 to 3 p.m.; Aug. 19, Intro to Computers II: Files & Applications, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.; and Aug. 28, Internet II: Search Strategies, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Swansea
At the Council on Aging: Swansea Council on Aging, 458 Ocean Grove Ave., will host a program by John P. Quintas, of the Diabetes Association, Inc., today at 10 a.m.
The program will include a game of nutritional activity bingo, which features diabetes information participants will want to know.
At the library: Swansea Public Library, 69 Main St., will feature a talk and book signing by local author Liz Thibault and Jeff Parker Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Their new book, SAS: Forest of Friends, will be on sale for $10 each.

Annual play: Grace Gospel Church, 271 Sharps Lot Rd., will sponsor Heaven’s Gates or Hell’s Flames for four nights at the church.
The play will be performed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, at 7 p.m. The production will include approximately 50 church members cast in scripted roles, as well as special sound and lighting effects.
Admission to the performances is free.
Heaven’s Gates or Hell’s Flames focuses on the ongoing human struggle to differentiate good from evil.

Westport
Duck Derby: Allens Pond staff and volunteers are seeking alternative locations for the Allens Pond Duck Derby this year because dredging is under way in the channel from the pond to Buzzards Bay. Nonetheless, the annual festival will be held at the field station at the Allens Pond Sanctuary, 1280 Horseneck Rd., Westport. The race will be broadcast over loudspeakers. The festival, with live music, food, educational exhibits, silent auction, and family activities will be held from noon to 3 p.m.
Antique decoy appraisals will be given by Ted Harmon, of Decoys Unlimited Inc. There is a $5 suggested donation for appraisals with all the funds going directly to the Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary.
