Swissray Selected By Adventist Health System to Be Their Digital Radiography Supplier
EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Swissray International, Inc. announced today that they have been awarded a three year dual source contract to supply their Digital Radiography systems to the Adventist Health System's members.
John Monahan, Sr. Vice President of Strategic Accounts for Swissray states, "We are very proud to have been selected by the members of Adventist Health System. I have come to recognize them as a quality organization that is determined to improve healthcare. Their product evaluation process is value driven and quality versus cost is where Swissray DR Systems excel. More than ever before health care providers are searching for better utilization of scarce resources. Swissray's DR systems enable the provider to significantly decrease cost and increase staff efficiency and job satisfaction, while improving the delivery of patient care without expanding space. With our unique APS(TM) - Automated Positioning System Swissray's DR solutions offer the fastest patient throughput in the industry at the lowest radiation dose."
Adventist Health System was founded in 1973 to support and strengthen Seventh-day Adventist healthcare organizations in the Southern and Southwestern regions of the United States. It quickly became the largest not-for-profit Protestant healthcare provider in the nation.
Today, Adventist Health System organizations provide 37 hospitals totaling more than 6,000 licensed beds, care for nearly 4 million patients each year in inpatient, outpatient and emergency room visits, and employ almost 43,000 members of their communities in full and part-time positions.
Swissray has received from Frost & Sullivan the 2008 "Single Detector Digital Radiography Product Innovation of the Year" award for their latest digital radiography system. This technology provides the highest quality medical radiographic images in seconds at a significantly lower cost and radiation dose than conventional or computed radiography because, among other factors, film, imaging plates, cassettes and chemical processing are not required. Swissray offers high quality, affordable solutions for direct digital radiography. Swissray currently provides a full range of DR systems for university hospitals, regional and community hospitals, emergency departments, imaging centers and orthopedic clinics. All of Swissray's DR systems include fully automated, remote controlled system positioning with its unique APS(TM) - Automated Positioning System.
