The Apollo Hospitals and Amaze Brainfood, a food range for children from Hindustan Unilever, have announced a school health program called the Amaze, Apollo School Wellbeing Program.

This program covers 200 schools in three Indian states (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu), and contacts 100,000 students.

After scanning the replies to a questionnaire (child wellness scan) given to each student, the Apollo Health Centre will create a health and wellness status report for each child, which advises on total health and cognitive development in the child for the benefit of the parents, the companies said.

Shrijeet Mishra, executive director of foods at Hindustan Unilever, said: “This detailed health scan will help the mother realize that she has to focus not only on the academic report card but also on the child’s overall health and cognitive development.”
