Yale-New Haven Hospital has activated Eclipsys Corporation's clinical information solutions, including Sunrise Acute Care and Sunrise Pharmacy, which are integrated modules of Sunrise Clinical Manager.
With its pharmacy information and computerized physician order entry solutions on one integrated platform, Yale-New Haven Hospital now has integrated medication management workflows for physician order entry, pharmacist verification and dispensing.
Then Eclipsys's smart selection capability is expected to help reduce the possibility for medication errors during the selection phase of the medication distribution process by providing the pharmacist with the most appropriate choice available.
Mark Andersen, senior vice president and chief information officer of Yale-New Haven Hospital, said: "Yale-New Haven has been a technology partner with Eclipsys for a long time, and we are thrilled that our activation of the new, modern platform went so smoothly and we achieved 100% adoption."
