SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Centers in Lancaster, Janesville and Portage Closing August 15

ATLANTA, Aug. 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The U.S. Small Business Administration announces today that the Disaster Loan Outreach Centers located in Lancaster, Janesville and Portage will close Friday, August 15 at the close of business.

The SBA urges homeowners, renters, businesses and non-profit organizations of all sizes that are affected by the severe storms, tornadoes and flooding that occurred on June 5 through July 25, 2008 to visit the Centers before they close. Victims may also visit any of the other remaining Centers to obtain one-on-one assistance with completing and returning their loan application before the filing deadline of September 15.

The following SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Centers will close Friday, August 15:

Anyone unable to visit one of the Centers who has registered with FEMA may obtain an application by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for the hearing-impaired) Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDT, or by emailing our Customer Service Center at disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. Business loan applications can also be downloaded from the SBA website at http://www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance. Completed applications should be returned to any of the Centers or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX, 76155.

Disaster victims may also apply for disaster loans from SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/.

The deadline to return physical loan applications is September 15 2008. The deadline for returning economic injury loan applications is March 13, 2009.
