Harrods Bar Guide Group

A trip to posh shop Harrods turned into a nightmare for six Girl Guides.

The sightseeing youngsters, all in smart blue uniforms, were stopped by a door guard and told: "You can't come in."

The girls, aged six to 14, had hoped to buy souvenirs in the Knightsbridge store before heading home to Liverpool.

Victoria Parker, 27, leader of the 445th Rangers, said: "It was because we were a group. It's discrimination."

Harrods said: "It is for the benefit of regular customers who find an overcrowded store uncomfortable."
