CRISIS POINT ; Ambulances Struggling Tomeet 999 Targets

HUNDREDS of ambulances are unavailable to answer life-or-death emergency calls every month because they are stuck at hospital A&E units.

Shocking figures today reveal that the WelshAmbulanceService islosing thousands of ambulance hours every month because crews cannot admit their sick and injured patients to hospital quickly enough.

Data obtained by the Echo, under the Freedom of Information Act reveals that ambulances are still experiencing problems off-loading at Prince Charles Hospital, in Merthyr, the Royal Glamorgan, in Llantrisant and the Princess of Wales Hospital, in Bridgend.
