Cosmetic Dermatology Expert Susan Van Dyke, M.D. Is First in Arizona to Offer New Facial Filler With Lidocaine, Elevess

Van Dyke Laser & Skin, a cosmetic dermatology practice in the Valley since 1980 that is known nationally for being among the first to offer the newest proven products and procedures, today announced that Susan Van Dyke, M.D., is the first in Arizona to offer Elevess, an injectable dermal filler that was launched to physicians at the American Academy of Dermatology's summer academy meeting July 30th to August 3rd in Chicago. Elevess is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid (HA) facial filler to incorporate Lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to improve patient comfort during the injections. Elevess is expected to offer results similar to other fillers currently on the market, but at a more affordable price.

Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in July of 2007, Elevess is an advanced facial filler that can smooth facial lines of medium to severe depth, such as nasolabial folds. Hyaluronic acid acts to increase skin volume by maintaining tissue hydration, and also lubricates and aids in cellular function. Elevess offers the highest concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid available in a dermal filler, which may translate to patients experiencing a longer duration of effect than they would with many other types of filler.
