Media Advisory: Second Day of the Canadian Medical Association’s General Council

The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) will launch the second day of its General Council with a discussion of health care transformation. At the strategic session of Day 2, Mr. Claude Castonguay will speak to roughly 400 doctors from across the country about his reflections as the former Chair of the Task Force on the Funding of the Health Care System in Quebec.

The debate on motions brought forth by General Council delegates will begin in the late morning and that will be followed by CMA President Brian Day’s Valedictory Address.

The CMA General Council takes place from Sunday, August 17 to Wednesday, August 20 at the Sheraton Centre in Montreal (1201 Rene-Levesque Boulevard West).
