Unibased Systems Architecture, Inc. (USA), the leading provider of enterprise wide resource management solutions and operating room management systems to the healthcare industry, today announced the successful go-live of their nursing perioperative charting in Inova Fairfax Hospital. This completes the implementation in all Inova Health System Hospitals. Inova is using USA’s award winning periOperative Resource Management System (ORMS) to support their surgery management system needs throughout the enterprise.

According to Lindy Butler, RN, Management Coordinator and Project Manager for the USA implementation at Inova Fairfax Hospital’s main OR, “We had yet another successful USA go-live. Preparing the system to fit our departmental needs was quite a challenge and I’m so proud of the Main OR nurses for how readily they embraced the changes,” she said. “I can’t imagine how we could have had a more trouble-free event. Between the training and the go-live support from the USA team, we were well prepared to handle any situation that might arise.”

“We pride ourselves on smooth implementations, but you never really know how it will go until the nurses use the system in a live environment,” said Cindy Borders, Vice President, Client Services. “Because ORMS is integrated on the same platform with our enterprise scheduling system RMS, the necessary interfaces and infrastructure were already in place. Butler and her staff were well prepared and the ORs did not miss a beat. Their flawless go-live was a result of extensive preparation. We are very pleased that we could be a partner with Inova Health System in moving their surgery management system to the next level.”
