Bike Crash Boy 'Critical

A 13-YEAR-old boy remains in a critical condition in hospital after his scrambler bike smashed into a fence during a police pursuit.
The boy's 11-yearold friend, who was also on the bike and injured his leg, was today said to be improving.
Both boys, from Wirral, are being treated at Arrowe Park hospital.
The accident, which happened last Wednesday at6pm, took place after people on New Hay Road, Woodchurch, called police to complain.
When officers arrived the bike mounted the pavement and crashed into a fence.
The incident has been voluntarily referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission. Police have requested witnesses call Crimestoppers confidentially on 0800 555 111
