Health Dialog Honored With 2008 National Mature Media Awards(SM)
Health Dialog Services Corporation today announced that two of the company's Shared Decision-Making(R) programs and corresponding booklets were honored with 2008 National Mature Media Awards. The winning titles, "Living with Diabetes: Making Lifestyle Changes to Last a Lifetime" and "Living Better with Chronic Pain" were selected from among more than 1,000 submissions.
The National Mature Media Awards program, organized by the Mature Market Resource Center(SM) (MMRC), is the largest of its kind and honors the nation's best in advertising, marketing, and educational materials produced for adults who are 50 or older - the nation's fastest growing population group. Submissions are judged by a distinguished panel of mature market experts from across the country on overall excellence of design, content, creativity, and relevance to the senior market.
Health Dialog's Shared Decision-Making(R) videos and booklets provide unbiased, evidence-based information on treatment options and chronic diseases so patients can engage in more informed and productive dialog with their physicians. These health support materials feature patient experiences, descriptions of the pros and cons of treatment options, and physician interviews. Developed in conjunction with the not-for-profit Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making (FIMDM), the videos are just some of the resources Health Dialog offers individuals to allow them to take a more proactive role in understanding and managing their healthcare.
