Ultra-Light Pilot Injured in Willowbrook Crash
An emergency landing of an ultra-light plane in Rostraver sent one person to a Pittsburgh hospital Tuesday evening.
Westmoreland 911 reported the glider-type, single-seater came down near the clubhouse at Willowbrook Golf Course about 7:45 p.m.
Authorities said the pilot was transported from the scene by emergency helicopter.
The identity of the pilot was not immediately available. Rostraver police were not available for comment last night.
No one was injured in an incident involving a plane in Penn Township last night.
County emergency officials said a plane carrying a pilot and two passengers skidded off the runway at Boquet Airport at 6:50 p.m. after coming in for a landing.
Township police were called to the scene. No officers were immediately available for comment.
