WOMEN: The Elizabethtown/Mount Joy Christian Women’s Club will hold a “Hats on Parade” brunch at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Gathering Place, 6 Pine St., Mount Joy.

Bring your favorite hat to share. Prizes will be given. Motivational speaker Jan Edgerton, a “Red Hatter” from New York, will present “How to Have a Fulfilling Future Regardless of Your Past.” Emi Nissley will provide musical entertainment.

GALA: St. Joseph Health Ministries will hold its fourth annual gala from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Armstrong Manor, 2025 Lititz Pike.

The event will include seafood, live music and a silent auction for memorabilia from Tiger Woods, Ben Roethlisberger, Ryan Howard and others.

Proceeds will benefit the St. Joseph Health Ministries children’s oral health program “Brush. Brush. Smile!”

Tickets are $140 per person and are available by calling 397- 7625 by Aug. 28.

CPR: Ephrata Community Hospital will offer a HeartSaver training course from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Cocalico Center for Health, 63 W. Church St., Stevens.

The course, offered in conjunction with the American Heart Association, teaches cardiopulmonary resuscitation and relief of choking for adults, children and infants.

Cost is $45 per person, which includes instruction book.

CLAY PIZZA: Make pizza out of clay and bake it in a kiln during a “Personal Pizza” class from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Cygnet Studios/Conewago Coffee, 338 S. Market St., Elizabeththtown.

The class, for ages 7 to adult, is sponsored by Greater Elizabethtown Area Recreation and Community Services.

MEMORY LOSS: The Memory Loss Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, in the Warwick Room of The Heritage at Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz.
