Eat Natural Recalls Crunchy Toastcrumbs Oats Honey and Coconut Cereal

The UK Food Standards Agency has announced that Eat Natural, a producer of fruit and nut bars, has recalled some of its Crunchy Toastcrumbs Oats Honey and Coconut cereal, 450g, because the product contains hazelnuts, which are not mentioned on the label, resulting in incorrect allergen information.

This means the product is a possible health risk for individuals with an allergy to hazelnuts, the agency said.

The agency has issued an allergy alert advising anyone who is allergic to hazelnuts not to eat this product.

The products with batch codes 14feb09, 15feb09, 16feb09, 29feb09 are being recalled. Eat Natural has withdrawn the affected batches, which were only on sale in Asda stores. No other Eat Natural products are known to be affected, the agency added.
