Riverside Expands Miller Center’s Rehabilitation Services
Riverside Medical Center recently began expansion of Miller Center's rehabilitation services to fulfill a variety of patient needs. On Thursday, July 17, 2008, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at Miller Center, located at 1601 Butterfield Trail in Kankakee, to celebrate the exciting expansion of this Kankakee hospital.
The total expansion of Miller Center will provide 34,720 additional square feet to accommodate patients. Kankakee residents appreciate the benefits that this expansion will provide to their community. On average, 90 percent of residents admitted to Miller Center recover from their conditions and are able to return to their homes. This impressive recovery record improves the quality of life for numerous patients and their families in the Kankakee area.Phil Kambic, President and CEO of Riverside, states about the Miller Center expansion project, "We're committed to the community and economic development and we're excited to get started on the project. A growing reputation gives rise to growing needs for Riverside Medical Center. The Miller Center expansion also includes a new Cafe and a Learning Center to fulfill the growing needs of Kankakee county hospital consumers.
