Alcohol a Factor in 2-Vehicle Accident

August 27, 2008

MARIETTA, Wis. – Alcohol was a factor in a two-vehicle accident that injured a Boscobel man and Wauzeka woman late Saturday in Marietta Township, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department.

Kraig S. Shepherd, 40, and Theresa G. Acker, 70, were injured and transported to Boscobel Area Health Care. Hospital officials said Monday they had no condition reports on the patients.

Around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Shepherd was driving eastbound on Wisconsin 60 near Riverview Lane when he crossed the center line and collided with Acker’s car. Shepherd was cited with operating while intoxicated and operating left of the center line.
