Villa Sistemi Medicali, a subsidiary of Del Global Technologies, a manufacturer of diagnostic imaging systems for medical firms, has installed its new Apollo DRF systems at two hospitals in Rome, Italy.
According to the company, one system is installed at Policlinico Umberto I hospital in the city and part of La Sapienza University. The second system is located at Fatebenefratelli Isola Tiberina hospital, a religious institution that provides health services.
Fabio Curti, marketing manager of Villa, said: "As early adopters of the dynamic flat panel technology, Villa believes the Apollo DRF will be a breakthrough in RF applications. By combining fluoroscopy and general rad applications in one room, Apollo DRF can bring substantial benefits by increasing the throughput of the hospital's imaging departments."
