Allscripts, a provider of clinical software, has announced that Centre Medical and Surgical Associates, has selected its Electronic Health Record and Practice Management solution for its 69 providers.
According to the company, the Centre Medical and Surgical Associates (CMSA), a multi-specialty physician group in Central Pennsylvania, will replace its financial automation system with Allscripts - and add the Allscripts Electronic Health Record - to improve its ability to provide care cost-effectively.
The Allscripts Electronic Health Record (EHR) enables physicians to access patient information when and where they need it - in the clinic, at the hospital or while on-call at home. The web-based solution speeds and automates everyday clinical tasks such as prescribing and refilling medications, ordering and viewing tests, and documenting care.
The Allscripts Practice Management solution combines scheduling and revenue cycle management tools in a single package and incorporates features such as rule-based appointment scheduling, multi-resource and recurring appointment features, referral and eligibility indicators, and appointment and claims management.
Glen Tullman, CEO of Allscripts, said: "As a forward-looking practice, Centre Medical and Surgical Associates chose their electronic health record based on physician usability, ROI, the enhanced connectivity our systems offer and an understanding of our vision for the future. CMSA has been making the right decisions to improve care for their patients since 1974, and we're pleased that they've selected Allscripts as their partner in taking them to the next level."
