Chance for a Say on Centre Bid
FAMILIES will get to have their say on where they want a new neighbourhood health centre to be built.
Health bosses will explain opportunities for doctors to relocate to Dudley Port to a centre which will include treatment for foot care, minor surgery, physiotherapy, baby clinics and mental healthcare at a public meeting.
Five areas have so far been identified in the suburb as possible locations for the new one stop health shop, but locals are being given the opportunity to express a preference.
The locations under consideration are a canalside showroom fronting on to Dudley Port Road, Park Lane East, land off Peel Street, a site between Tudor Street and Dudley Port and land to the rear of the Royal Oak, in John's Lane.
Residents are urged to attend the meeting at the New Testament Church of God, in Horseley Heath, Dudley Port, on September 8, between 6pm and 8pm.
Sandwell Primary Care Trust bosses will be on hand to answer questions.
More information is available from Carla Hayes at the trust on 0121 612 1613.
