MAHSA Meets Its Mission
MAHSA College, also known as the Malaysian Allied Health and Sciences College, was established in response to the growing need for allied health professionals in the country.
The college opens its doors to all who aspire to play an integral part in the healthcare delivery system, equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills for a professional career.
The college offers a range of degrees, diplomas and certificate programmes. Some of its offerings include degree programmes in nursing studies ("4+0") in collaboration with the University of Teesside (UK); nursing practice development (top-up degree) in collaboration with Northumbria University, UK, which is a top-up degree via distance learning for registered nurses with two-year practice; and the well-received Doctor in Dental Surgery (five-year programme) conferred by Universitas Trisakti, one of the largest private universities in Indonesia.
The latest addition to MAHSA's prestigious degree programme is the BSc (hons) in physiotherapy, a "4+0" programme with the University of Northumbria, UK.
There are also three-year diploma courses, including nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, medical imaging, medical lab technology, environmental health and dental technology.
Certificate courses available at MAHSA are the dental surgery assistant and Cambridge GCE A-level.
At present, MAHSA College has two campuses strategically located in Pusat Bandar Damansara and Jalan Universiti.
These campuses are equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure with modern clinical and science laboratories.
Located in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya townships, amid shopping malls, restaurants, both are served by excellent public transport.
In line with MAHSA's mission to be a centre of excellence in providing healthcare education, students are taught by a team of qualified and dedicated academics.
Living up to its commitment to education excellence, MAHSA was conferred the prestigious Education Excellence Award 2006 by the National Association of Private Educational Institutions. It is the first allied health sciences college in the country to be awarded such an accolade.
