Function Follows Form
A new study published in in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society confirms that one of the secrets to healthy aging is a physically active lifestyle. It also helps preserve functional abilities such as walking several blocks, climbing stairs, maintaining a sense of balance, sustaining grip strength-each critical to remaining independent.
About 75 percent of older Americans are not getting enough exercise. Talk to your physician to find out what types and amounts are best for you.
