Pine Street Center to Hold Block Party
LEWISTON – The 100 Pine Street Wellness and Recovery Center will hold its third annual Block Party and Wellness Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6. The end of Pierce Street between Pine and Ash will be blocked off for the event.
The center is a nonprofit agency that works with adults 18 and over who have a mental disability of some sort.
The day will include a dunk tank, craft table, bake sale table, yard sale and games for the kids, as well as pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs and hamburgers, chips and drinks.
Added this year will be a live performance of bluegrass music by Tree by Leaf. A fire truck and ambulance will be on hand and there will be blood pressure checks.
The center is looking for donations of a few clothes racks on wheels, yard sale leftovers, and arts and crafts supplies. For more information, call 795-6040 or e-mail Jean at firstname.lastname@example.org.
