Health Officials Seek Biting Dog

Dubuque health officials seek information about a dog involved in a biting incident between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1, in the 2700 block of Jackson Street.

The dog bit a 19-year-old man.

The dog is described as large, approximately 3-foott tall Mastiff- type breed with light-brown fur, floppy ears and orange eyes.

The dog wore a dark collar.

The Dubuque Health Services Department needs the public’s assistance to find the dog to verify its health status and vaccination history.

Anyone with information about this incident can call the health services department at 563-589-4185 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., or the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center at 563-589-4415 after hours or on the weekend.
